REDUCTION OF THE DIGITAL DIVIDE THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MOBILE APPLICATIONS THAT STRENGTHEN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This article shows the importance and propose the use of mobile applications to strengthen the teaching and learning process in order to reduce the digital divide in students at the Technological University of the Sierra Hidalguense, Tepehuacan campus, Hidalgo, Mexico, this research is implemented through the comprehensive analysis of one hundred mobile applications available for the Android system, through a qualitative approach, considering the phases of an intervention project.
The implementation lasted one week, including the diagnosis of the group where the level of knowledge of the selected subject is established, at this stage factors typical of a rural area that affected the educational process. They identified factors typical of a rural area that affected the educational process. The survey is implemented as a data collection technique, an interview with the teacher and an observation guide.
The results show that the teacher is willing to incorporate mobile applications as part of her teaching methods, however, she considers that she is not qualified to monitor and evaluate these mobile applications, from the student's perspective there is motivation and enthusiasm.
