An information management system is a set of systems and procedures that collect information from a variety of sources, compile it, process it, and present it in a readable format to describe a cycle of organizational activity. In today's world, it is one of the most efficient ways of managing information and data related to a certain activity. The cadre’s department of the Ministry of Tourism of Holguín accumulates a large amount of information due to the management of the data of the territorial cadres in addition to the reserves and quarries of said cadres. This information is currently stored using Excel spreadsheets, which is not optimal for agile search and processing of information. In addition, there is the risk of data loss and the lack of security that the use of said storage tool implies. That is why it is necessary to have a computer tool specifically designed to efficiently manage and store this data. Making use of the XP development methodology and in close collaboration with the client, the computer system was developed, which is a fundamental support for decision-making in the cadre’s department.
