UTILIZING CHATGPT AS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE FORMATIVE MANAGEMENT OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

The article presents a case study on the impact of ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence tool, on the educational management of undergraduate students in the subject Computer Science III at the University of Guayaquil. A quantitative approach is used, comparing two groups of 51 students from the same parallel. Initially, the academic performance is assessed before the introduction of ChatGPT and then after its implementation as an educational resource. The main objective is to determine if the tool has a significant impact on academic performance. The results of the comparative analysis provide valuable information about the effectiveness of ChatGPT in educational management and its influence on the performance of Information Technology students in Computer Science III. This study contributes to understanding the role of artificial intelligence in education and highlights the relevance of ChatGPT as an educational tool in this context.
