Abstract

The teaching of educational robotics in Cuban Primary Education is essential for the comprehensive development of students and the fulfillment of the fourth objective of the 2030 Agenda. The research is part of the project: “Gradual introduction of the teaching of robotics in general education”, seeks to analyze how to incorporate educational robotics in this educational level. Empirical methods such as document analysis, research study, focus groups and group interviews were used. The results revealed a study on educational robotics and its introduction in Primary Education at an international and national level. The potential of the regulatory documents for the teaching of educational robotics was identified, training needs for teachers and specialists were also detected, additionally, a training program in Scratch language was developed and an intervention strategy was proposed in experimental centers. It is concluded that there are possibilities to introduce robotics in Primary Education, both in the curriculum and in extracurricular activities, taking advantage of the flexibility of the program and the potential of the school as a community cultural center.
