Abstract

The design, development, implementation, and evaluation of a virtual course on digital skills for high school teachers at the public "Mtro. Joaquín Ramírez Cabañas Mixta" located in Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico, are presented. Its objective was to enhance teaching competencies through the acquisition of new digital skills for the application of diverse teaching strategies and materials. The methodology employed was action research, involving 15 teachers with diverse professional profiles and academic degrees. Google Classroom served as the virtual classroom. Data were collected through Meet (interviews), Google Forms (surveys), and Classroom (activity assessment). Excel and Classroom were used for analysis. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in teachers' ICT competencies. 100% of the participants used the learned tools, completed their activities satisfactorily, and expressed that the training received would be helpful in the future. It is concluded that the project had a positive impact by incorporating innovative improvements into teaching practices, which will contribute to transforming high school education and enhancing the educational level of its institutions.
